Follett Chosen to Manage Florida Gateway College Campus Store

LAKE CITY, FLA., Mar 26, 2018 – Florida Gateway College (FGC) has chosen Follett Higher Education to manage its campus store effective March 13, 2018 to bring affordable course material options and fresh products to the campus community. The store was previously managed by the campus.

With this new partnership between Follett and FGC, students and faculty will benefit from Follett's expansive inventory of affordable course material choices. Cost-saving print options include used books as well as Follett’s textbook rental program that can save students up to 80 percent on titles when compared to purchasing new.

“We’re honored to work with this close-knit campus community and their supportive administration leaders,” said Clay Wahl, President of Follett Higher Education. “As a partner in education, our focus is on helping those administrators shape and deliver a rewarding campus experience.  And for FGC students, this means delivering convenient access to affordable course material options so they can be prepared to succeed in class.”

Follett will also offer affordable open educational resources content and courseware by Lumen Learning. Additionally, students will have access to a diverse selection of digital learning technologies, including the Follett Discover platform, that help promote anywhere/anytime access to affordable materials within existing campus applications. New store services include Follett’s popular price match program, which helps ensure students get their materials at the lowest cost possible, and their year-round buyback program, which allows students to sell back their used books. Students will be able to use their financial aid to purchase course materials both in-store and online.

Beyond course materials, Follett will refresh the store’s general merchandise offerings to be a one-stop shop for both classroom and campus life essentials. Customers can expect a custom product assortment that reflects local interests as well as national trends in clothing, gifts, supplies, technology and more. Exciting brands carried include Champion®, Cutter and Buck®, Spirit® gifts and more. The full breadth of products and services offered can be explored both in-store and online through www.bkstr.com/fgcstore .
